Wolves' Hour

from Black Earth (EP) by Outwailed

/

lyrics

Moon stands guarding as an eye in the sky.
Gaze the heart of void and nothingness;
Bear witness to birth of a new form.

In permanent midnight, where shadows breathe,
Gaining ground among filth and whores.

A faint memory of once witnessing the sun.
Insomnia deepens as wolves prowl on my door.

Under the dusk's wings, in pitch black corners
Men without faces observing the herd.

Insects speaking in tongues of god.
Unknown frequencies calling me on.

Artificial light breaches my windows.
Inside a concrete hell, a prisoner of solitude.

But in my dreams, I roam the nameless cities.
And in my dreams, I call the void my home.
